A small wine table or candle stand of elegant proportion with elongated turned stem, pad feet and banded top. well figured oak with fine patina and in unmolested condition. A type often described as country furniture due to the use of native timber rather than exotic imported varieties, further study has shown that native timbers were used throughout the UK in both urban and rural workshops.
