Serpentine spice chest
Beautiful walnut box of serpentine shape, with six interior compartments and, unusually a drawer, the whole interior retains the original marbled paper lining, probably used for storing spices. Deep, graduated patina, original brasses, lock missing one replaced bun foot and a small sliver repair to the back of the lid.
