C18th Cricket table
A well proportioned cricket table of classic two tier design. Constructed entirely from oak with a well figured two piece top. Good honest condition with blacksmith made strengthening brackets to the frieze. The surface is superb having a genuine, graduated patina. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find pieces of vernacular furniture that have not been through a restorers workshop. This is an exemplary example.
Three later blocks have been fixed under the top to further strengthen the base
